Crazy, Wild, Amazing, OMG, Wierd-Gasms

This is the 2nd part of the my article on the weirdest orgasms ever... So, if you missed the first one go back to the blog ;)

This is a Shower-Gasm and could possibly exist. Orgasms in the shower definitely can happen, just saying...

Okay, so where were we before I was rudely interrupted... Oh, yes, weird orgasms, also known as spontaneous orgasms.

Extragenital Orgasms

Okay, here are a few really strange ways that some people have been known to have spontaneous orgasms.Keep in mind these are pretty rare, and unlike Friction/Core-gasms and Mind-gasms, you are unlikely to learn how to achieve one.

1.Tooth Brushing Gasm

Yes, indeed, a 41-year-old woman from Taiwan was known to have tooth brushing induced orgasms.While women have reported experiencing throat or mouth-gasms during fellatio, this woman had an epileptic seizure induced orgasm that manifested from brushing her teeth.Oddly enough this happened two years after a hysterectomy that left her unable to reach orgasm.  Then suddenly, out of nowhere, she experienced her first spontaneous orgasm via dental hygiene, and passed out.The tooth-brushing orgasm continued for about twice a week, and she began to think she was possessed by demons.  Not to mention all the bumps and bruises she was getting from falling down in the bathroom. In other words, the entire process was far from pleasurable.

Incidentally, it was more likely the reflex from the seizure that caused the orgasm, than the oral hygiene, and other women have reported having orgasms as a result of seizures, known as right temporal love epilepsy. “It turns out that the right hemisphere of the brain plays a big role in sexual function. Sex hormones are right-side dominany, and arousal activates the right hemisphere more than the left. So it's possible that her right temporal lobe epilepsy could be the reason that part of her seizures manifested itself as an orgasm.” [i]

2.Hair-combing Gasm or Head-Gasm

A Head-Gasm is not an orgasm you get by giving head.  Check out my past article "The Top 14 Types of Female Orgasms" if you want to learn about that one...

Called an Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response,” (or ASMR or head orgasm), it is an orgasm that is brought on by touching the head or scalp, or even by watching people act out “fantasies” like picking hair lice.How nice!

I had to look this up and Wikipedia says, ASMR “is an experience characterized by a static-like or tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. It has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia.Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) signifies the subjective experience of 'low-grade euphoria' characterized by 'a combination of positive feelings, and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin'. It is most commonly triggered by specific acoustic, visual and digital media stimuli, and less commonly by intentional attentional control.” [ii]So, yeah, it is a thing.Other names for it include: “names included 'Attention Induced Head Orgasm', 'Attention Induced Euphoria', and 'Attention Induced Observant Euphoria'; whilst colloquial terms in usage included 'brain massage', 'head tingle', brain tingle', 'spine tingle', and 'brain orgasm'.”

While there hasn’t been any clinical research done on this phenomena, at least one neurologist believes it could be possible and likens it to migraines, in that they know they exist and not much clinical proof exists about them.

I guess there are videos you can watch which help induce head-gasms, if you are game.Just Google it!

3.Yawn- Gasm

Yawning feels freaking awesome I must admit, and sometimes is almost like a quick full-bodied orgasm.But, it seems that some people can have yawn-gasms while taking the anti-depressant drugs Prozac, Clomipramine, Zoloft, Wellbutrin and other anti-depressant drugs.

One woman was apparently cured of depression, but continued taking it because she could experience orgasm when yawning.I can just picture myself, snuggled in bed, trying to yawn all day, I’d never get anything done!This interesting type of orgasm happens in about 5% of the people who take it. [iii]

4.Foot-gasm

I did my thesis film in film school on foot fetishes, and how some people/cultures eroticize the foot.So, a foot-gasm doesn’t seem that far fetched to me.However, there is only one documented example of this by a 55-year-old woman in the Netherlands, which has been dubbed “foot orgasm syndrome”.

She experienced unwanted orgasmic sensations in her foot, which occurred 5-6 times daily.The sensation started in her foot, then travelled up her leg to her genitals and felt exactly like a genital orgasm she said.During clinical studies it was found that if her left foot was stimulated via an electric current, it would produce a spontaneous orgasm.

Researchers believe it is a neurological disorder, and that her sensory information got scrabbled after receiving damage to the nerve endings in her foot, which got switched with sensory info from her vagina.It appears, the sensory nerve in her foot entered her spinal cord in the same area as the nerve that comes from the vagina, which caused the mix up, or so doctors speculate. [iv]

5.Skin-gasm

I don’t know why they call this a “skin-gasm” when the orgasm is induced by music.The technical term, “Frissons” seems more appropriate as it is a “pleasant tingling feeling” like chills up the spine, shivers, goosebumps and even tears that are musically induced." Researchers report in this journal article: “Thrills, chills, frissons, and skin orgasms: toward an integrative model of transcendent psychophysiological experiences in music”, that frissons are brought on “when music resonates so deeply and viscerally as to elicit a physical, bodily response” [v] by unexpected changes in music like a crescendo or climax.

Have you ever experienced a chill or goosebumps from music or artwork?Studies say at least 2/3s of people do experience this. I have certainly experienced goosebumps and shivers from looking at beautiful scenery.

Frisson is a French term meaning aesthetic chills, and is an experience one can have by listening to emotional moving music, or looking at a spectacular artwork, or even watching a good movie or seeing beautiful scenery.

Studies have been conducted showing that a “thrilling” moment in music can cause frisson in listeners.Having an “Openness to Experience” increases your chances of experiencing frisson.People with this trait “have unusually active imaginations, appreciate beauty and nature, seek out new experiences, often reflect deeply on their feelings, and love variety in life.” [vi]

6.Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder

Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder or PGAD, is actually very serious, and is when sexual arousal causing orgasm becomes persistent (never stops) and can even become torturous.Too much of a good thing?

Researchers believe it may be cause from fluid-filled growths on the lower spine called Tarlov cysts, which normally cause pain in the lower extremities.Also, a history of pain or discomfort related to sex, or a traumatic accident, or damage to the dorsal nerve within the clitoris may also be responsible. [vii]

Sadly, there is no cure.

7.Sneeze-gasm

According to Urban Dictionary, a Sneezegasm is an orgasm caused by sneezing “7 times in a row”. Why seven… why not I guess.

But, do these types of orgasms really exist?

Maybe?

“One hundred forty-six people told researchers at Wexham Park Hospital in the United Kingdom that they sneeze when they think sexy thoughts, and seven more reported sneezing at orgasm.”Apparently, this is not just a thing, but a “phenomenon likely affects a substantial amount of people.” [viii]

Researchers say that it may be genetic, as many people studied had familial ties.

But, it is not exactly an orgasm induced by sneezing, but an orgasm that causes sneezing, so not quite the same.Still, sneezing does feel good, like a quick build-up and release type orgasm, so who knows?

You should now know more about orgasms than you ever wanted to know.If by chance you want to test some of these types of orgasms out, be fore-warned, some of them could actually be very debilitating.

I'd go for a good vibrator instead...
